If you’re unsure, don’t worry! That’s what the Discovery Call is for. We’ll discuss where you are in your writing journey and which level best suits your needs. You can also take a look at the flowchart in Services to get a better idea or send me a quick message.
You can absolutely progress to the next level! If you finish Level 1 and want deeper editing, you can upgrade to Level 2. Similarly, if you complete Level 2 and are preparing for publication, you can move up to Level 3.
Not necessarily! Level 1 is great for writers who are still drafting and need structural guidance. Level 2 works best if you have a full draft (or almost complete) that needs revisions. Level 3 is for manuscripts that are near-final and ready for serious polishing and publishing prep.
You can check out my A La Carte Services if you just need a one-time service or something additional. I have added a helpful calculator that gives you an approximate of the price, so you have an idea of what to expect.
At Level 1, we’ll have a 60-minute call every 2 weeks to guide you on improving various aspects of your writing and your current draft(se), common writing issues and how to overcome them.
At level 2, we’ll have 75-minute calls every week to review edits, answer your questions, and workshop specific scenes and parts of your writing.
At Level 3, these calls are 90 minutes and focus on both editing and publishing strategy.
Life happens! I understand that writing and revisions take time. If you need to extend your package, we can discuss a flexible timeline or continued support through a la carte coaching sessions.
Absolutely! If you've already worked with an editor but still feel your book needs further refinement, I can help at the level that makes the most sense for you.
Think: beta reading but with an editor’s hat on (and said editor is powered by caffeine and love for the written work). An editorial assessment provides a big-picture analysis of your manuscript, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement in story structure, pacing, character development, dialogue, overall readability and everything in between. You’ll receive tons of in-line notes (please do stock up on tea/coffee and snacks for this part) and a detailed report with actionable feedback on what’s working, what needs revision, and guidance on your next steps. It’s an ideal first step before deep editing.
Developmental editing is a comprehensive process that focuses on improving the overall structure, coherence, and effectiveness of your manuscript. It involves feedback and suggestions to enhance plot, character development, pacing, writing style, and everything else your novel needs to make it into your reader’s hearts.
Copyediting improves your manuscript’s grammar, punctuation, consistency, and clarity at a technical level. It ensures proper sentence structure, correct word usage, and adherence to style guides while maintaining your voice. As well as that, it helps you take care of all those fun things like copyright (if you are using photos, illustrations, quotes, etc) and anything else to ensure a smooth sailing for your work.
Line editing focuses on sentence-level improvements, refining your prose for flow, style, tone, and readability. It enhances clarity, eliminates awkward phrasing, and strengthens your voice without altering your unique style (basically, helps us make you shine fully).
Proofreading is the final stage of editing, focused on catching typos, grammar mistakes, formatting issues, and minor inconsistencies before you are ready to hit the press! It ensures your manuscript is clean and error-free (we don’t want any pesky typos to taunt the critiques lurking at the corner) but does not involve rewriting or restructuring.
All edits are done using Track Changes, so you can review them and choose which ones you want to keep or change. I also add comments explaining why the edit was done and how it helps the work. If you find Track Changes confusing (and I am with you on that, quite a learning curve there), don’t worry at all, I will hold your hand and guide you through it, so it can become your buddy.
Book coaching is an ongoing, personalised mentorship that helps you develop your writing, build habits, and refine your story(s). Stay accountable through structured feedback, discussions, and goal-setting, and a personalised Notion dashboard for you. Coaching is ideal if you're still drafting, need motivation, or want professional guidance while writing. It includes various types of editing according to your manuscript needs.
Editing, on the other hand, focuses on improving an existing manuscript. Depending on the stage of your book, this can include developmental editing (big-picture storytelling and structure), line editing (prose refinement), copyediting (grammar and technical consistency), or proofreading (final error-checking before publication). Editing is best when you have a completed draft that needs polishing.
The great thing is that my signature program includes both in all 3 levels.
Absolutely! Coaching provides accountability, expert feedback, and a structured approach to help you complete your manuscript with confidence. As well as that, we will be working through editing and polishing your manuscript as we go, we you have a “pocket editor” with you the whole time.

Not at all. I work with all genres of stories, novels, novelas, novellettas, short story collections, non-fiction books, memoirs, self-help books, and anything else your creative minds can think of. If in doubt whether your text is something that I can work with, please don't hesitate to contact me and we can chat about it ti find out together.
Yes! All my services are available remotely, and I work with writers worldwide. One of my values is making the publishing world less gate-kept for authors from any background, so whether English is your first or fifth language, it doesn’t matter.
Yes! I am always a message away if you have any questions or concerns before, during, and after the editing process. Don’t worry, I am not going to throw you in the deep and leave you hanging there, we’re in this together!

Absolutely! I prioritise client confidentiality and maintain strict privacy standards. Your work will be handled with the utmost care and treated as confidential throughout the entire editing process.
Absolutely not. As an editor, I respect your intellectual property rights. You retain full ownership and copyright of your manuscript. I'm here to support you in enhancing your work, but the rights and ownership remain entirely yours; after all, you are the creative genius behind it, right!
Yes! I offer flexible payment plans for coaching and larger editing projects. I never want the cost to stay in the way of you achieving your dreams. Let’s discuss what works best for you.
I offer critiques, tips, strategies, and coaching to help you craft a compelling query letter or book proposal, but I do not ghostwrite them.
Yes! Agents expect polished manuscripts. Developmental and line editing can greatly improve your chances of getting noticed. Interesting note, literary agents receive anywhere from 200 to 1,000+ query submissions per month (insane, I know!), depending on their reputation, genre focus, and agency size. So you can imagine that they spend just a few quick minutes on each query before deciding whether to read further or not, so making a great first impression is key here.
